There are a number of volunteer opportunities available for anyone looking to join our organization. Whether it’s helping from an administrative standpoint, caring for our animals, lending a hand at one of our events or helping from the comfort of your own home, there is something for everyone! Animal Care Tech/ Technician Assistant
Individuals in this position have a big responsibility and include feeding, caring, cleaning, socializing/interacting, exercising, and socializing animals used in our Therapy program. Must be extremely responsible, observant, consistent, and dedicated. A 6-month commitment is required for this position and must complete training and orientation.
Must be at least 14 years of age unless accompanied by an adult.
Visiting Encounters
This position involves helping take some of our menageries animals to visit clients in a variety of settings: nursing facilities, schools, homes, and places of business. This position requires an outgoing personality, patience, and experience with animals. This program typically is on weekday mornings or early afternoons.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Weekend Warrior
This is an excellent position for those who cannot commit to weekdays or would like to commit to NO more than 5-10 hrs. This individual would be helping to assist our Care Technician with cleaning, upkeep, and monthly responsibilities. Or if you would prefer administrative duties, that could be an option too! Great for trying to acquire service hours and governor scholars’ volunteer hours. Usually, work 2-3 hour shifts on Saturday or Sunday from 10 a.m.–1 p.m.

Event Planning/Marketing & Fundraising
Have a knack for planning and coordinating? Are you really creative? Like to think outside the box? This role helps in planning/scheduling and marketing key events for Meaningful Menagerie. Opportunities are available to help support roles for various events and fundraisers.
These opportunities will include helping to plan, market, fundraise, set up, and takedown for fundraisers and events. Also, responsibilities to help with securing event sponsorships, venues, auction items, and grant writing could be available. Looking for individuals that are willing to stick with it until the event is completed and are looking to make a difference just as much as we are!
Administration/Web/Social Media
Volunteers in this position will help with any administrative needs, phone calls, contacts, copies, typing, sending letters emails, etc. We also are always looking for individuals with new creative ideas to incorporate into our social media, marketing, and fundraising. We need volunteers who have organizational and customer service skills as well as attention to detail.
Must be 18 years of age or older for this position.
